Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Overview
Remergant’s pricing model is designed so that disagreements and partings of ways resolve cleanly. Every engagement type — Flat Rate, Service Block, and Managed Platform — has a clear path to cancellation with no debt and no lingering obligations.
All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to connect@remergant.com.
Flat Rate Work
Flat Rate tasks are prepaid. Payment in full is required before work begins.
Before work begins: If you cancel a Flat Rate task after payment but before work has started, you are entitled to a full refund. No work is performed without payment, and no payment is retained for work that hasn’t started.
After work has started: Once work begins on a Flat Rate task, the payment is not refundable. If you are dissatisfied with the quality or completeness of the work, contact us at connect@remergant.com — we will make it right. Our commitment is to deliver the agreed scope to your satisfaction.
Service Blocks
Cancellation: You may cancel a Service Block engagement at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fee. Cancellation must be requested in writing via email.
Refund of remaining balance: Upon cancellation, the remaining unused balance of your Service Block is refunded to you, less any work completed but not yet billed. Refunds are processed within thirty (30) days of the cancellation request.
Expiration and refund: Service Blocks do not expire within two (2) years of purchase. If a Service Block carries an unused balance after two (2) years from the date of purchase, the remaining balance is automatically refunded to you.
Monthly payment arrangements: If you are paying for a Service Block in monthly installments, cancellation stops future payments. The refund applies only to the balance already paid and not yet consumed. No future payment obligations accrue after cancellation.
Work pause: If your Service Block balance reaches zero (whether through consumption or payment interruption), work pauses automatically. No debt or obligation accrues on either side. You may resume by replenishing the block or purchasing individual tasks at Flat Rate.
Managed Platforms
Managed Platform engagements are governed by a separate platform agreement that includes specific cancellation, transition, and licensing terms. The following general provisions apply:
Cancellation and Notice
Platform cancellations require written notice via email as specified in the platform agreement (typically thirty to ninety days) to allow for an orderly transition.
Platform fees are billed for the period of active operation. No platform fees accrue after the platform is decommissioned or transitioned. Any prepaid platform fees covering periods after the effective cancellation date are refunded within thirty (30) days.
Platform Transition and Buyout
Remergant builds, owns, and operates the automation platform on your behalf. Upon cancellation, if you wish to take ownership of the platform and operate it independently (or have it transferred to another provider), the following applies:
Platform purchase: The platform must be purchased at its full book value as determined at the time of cancellation. Book value reflects the cumulative technical investment in design, development, and configuration of the platform.
Professional services: Any work required to migrate, reconfigure, or hand over the platform — including documentation, knowledge transfer, and technical transition — is billed as professional services at your applicable rate (Service Block or Flat Rate).
Timeline: The transition timeline is established in the platform agreement and depends on the complexity of the platform and the receiving party’s technical readiness.
Code Licensing
Automation code, workflows, and configurations developed for your Managed Platform are licensed to you under a single-use license for the duration of the platform agreement. This means:
During the engagement: You have full operational use of the platform as operated by Remergant. The code runs for your business, processes your transactions, and integrates with your systems.
Upon purchase/transfer: If you purchase the platform at book value, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, single-use license to the code and configurations as delivered. This license permits you to operate, maintain, and modify the platform for your own business use.
Restrictions: The single-use license does not permit redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or the creation of derived works based on the platform code for use by other businesses or as a commercial product. The platform was built for your specific business rules and operations — the license reflects that specificity.
Remergant’s retained rights: Remergant retains ownership of general methodologies, reusable components, and non-client-specific tools developed during the engagement. These may be used in other client engagements. Client-specific business rules, data, and configurations are not reused.
Specific licensing terms are detailed in each platform agreement. The provisions above represent the general framework.
